Job Title: Commercial Manager - Global Marine

Location: Lagos

Description

• Commercial Manager for Gobel Marine to oversee the commercial operations of Gobel Ship and manage vessel chartering activities across the Group, ensuring optimal utilization and revenue generation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of Gobel Ship operations.
• Drive business development and revenue growth for the marine business.
• Manage vessel chartering activities across the Group.
• Negotiate and oversee commercial contracts and agreements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, and key stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends and provide strategic commercial insights to management.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, commercial, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in commercial shipping, vessel chartering, or marine operations.
• Strong knowledge of chartering practices, freight markets, and maritime regulations.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation and commercial deal structuring.
• Strong business development and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent analytical, financial, and market assessment abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple vessel operations and commercial portfolios.
• Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant shipping/commercial management tools.
• Professional certification in shipping/maritime (e.g., ICS, Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers) is an added advantage.

Benefit
Salary: N2,000,000 monthly.
