Job Title: Cost & Management Accountant

Location: Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos

Job Summary

• A Cost & Management Accountant drives profitability by tracking, analyzing, and controlling operational costs.
• They translate financial data into actionable strategies. Core duties include standard costing, budget preparation, variance analysis, and managing month-end ledgers.

Core Responsibilities

• Cost Accounting: Establish standard costs for materials, labor, and overheads. Conduct periodic reconciliations and variance analyses comparing actual costs against standard budgets.
• Management Reporting: Prepare detailed cash flow forecasts, profitability statements, and budget reports to assist executives in strategic planning.
• Financial Modeling: Develop scenarios to evaluate pricing strategies, investment decisions, and make-versus-buy choices.
• Inventory & Audit Control: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate physical audits. Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP).
• Process Optimization: Identify financial inefficiencies, reduce waste, and recommend cost-saving solutions.

Key Requirements

• Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics with 5-10 years experience.
• Certifications like the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or ACCA are highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), data analytics tools, and Microsoft Excel.
• Analytical Mindset: Strong financial modeling, risk assessment, and problem-solving capabilities.

Salary
N500,000 per month.
