Job Title: Special Education Needs Teacher (Early Years and Elementary School)
Location: Abuja
Role Overview
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities, learning difficulties, and developmental delays.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique strengths, challenges, and goals.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Uphold the values of love, patience, and compassion in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field required (Master’s degree preferred).
- State teaching certification in Special Education or eligibility for certification.
- Prior experience working with children with special needs in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of best practices in special education and evidence-based interventions.
- Exceptional patience, empathy, and communication skills.
