Samsung Heavy Industries Nigeria (SHIN) is a key player in Nigeria's oil and gas and maritime industries, serving as the prime African subsidiary of the global shipbuilding giant, Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) of Korea. Established in August 2011, SHIN has a fabrication and integration yard in Lagos.This facility is notable as Africa's first-ever and only Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) integration yard.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chef (Local Nigerian Cuisine - Catering Support)

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Contract

Role Summary

• Responsible for planning and preparing high-volume local Nigerian meals for project personnel and operational staff while maintaining quality, taste, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve balanced, high-quality local dishes in line with daily shift requirements.
• Monitor stock levels, request food supplies, and minimize wastage.
• Ensure all food prep areas, utensils, and dining facilities are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
• Adhere strictly to site HSE and food safety protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cook/Chef in industrial, corporate, or high-volume catering environments.
• Strong knowledge of local cuisines and large-scale meal preparation.
• Basic certification in food handling/hygiene is an advantage.
