Job Title: Operations Supervisor
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Days & Time: 4PM – 7AM (Monday – Saturday)
Job Purpose
- Our client is requires the services of Operations Supervisor for immediate employment. Proximity to IKEJA GRA will be an advantage. Candidates living at Ikeja, Mafoluku, Oshodi and its environs will be considered.
- The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all warehouse operations during assigned shifts to ensure the efficient receiving, sorting, scanning, loading, dispatch, and movement of parcels.
- The role ensures that operational targets, customer delivery timelines, and Company standards are consistently achieved while maintaining discipline, safety, and productivity within the warehouse.
- The Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading warehouse teams, monitoring operational performance, resolving operational challenges, and ensuring strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Management:
- Supervise all warehouse operations during assigned shifts.
- Ensure all inbound and outbound parcels are received, sorted, scanned, and dispatched accurately.
- Monitor warehouse workflow to achieve operational efficiency.
- Ensure all parcels are processed within approved timelines.
- Minimize parcel loss, damage, and misrouting.
- Ensure warehouse activities comply with Company policies and SOPs.
Staff Supervision & Leadership:
- Supervise Team Leads, Sorters, Warehouse Assistants, and other operational staff.
- Allocate daily responsibilities based on operational requirements.
- Conduct pre-shift and post-shift briefings.
- Monitor employee productivity and performance.
- Coach, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve operational targets.
- Enforce discipline and maintain a professional work environment.
- Recommend staff training and development where necessary.
Attendance & Manpower Management:
- Monitor staff attendance and punctuality.
- Ensure employees resume work on time and remain at their assigned workstations throughout their shift.
- Prepare daily attendance reports.
- Report absenteeism, lateness, misconduct, or unauthorized movement to the Human Resources Department.
- Ensure adequate manpower is available for all operational activities.
- Recommend additional manpower where operational demands require.
Parcel Sorting & Dispatch:
- Ensure parcels are sorted accurately according to destination, delivery route, and hub.
- Monitor scanning activities to ensure accurate system updates.
- Verify parcel quantities before loading and dispatch.
- Ensure priority shipments are processed promptly.
- Prevent dispatch errors and parcel misrouting.
- Monitor dispatch completion to meet delivery timelines.
Operational Performance Management:
- Monitor daily operational targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure all customer delivery timelines, including priority client timelines (e.g., TEMU), are achieved.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Reduce warehouse backlog through effective planning and supervision.
- Continuously improve warehouse productivity and efficiency.
Quality Control & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor parcel handling standards to reduce damage and losses.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all operational activities.
- Support Quality Control investigations relating to missing, damaged, or delayed parcels.
- Ensure compliance with operational audits and inspections.
Health, Safety & Security:
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.
- Ensure employees comply with health and safety regulations.
- Report workplace accidents, hazards, and security incidents immediately.
- Ensure Company property and operational equipment are safeguarded.
- Enforce security procedures relating to parcel handling and warehouse access.
Equipment & Asset Management:
- Monitor the proper use of warehouse equipment, scanners, laptops, printers, pallet trucks, and other operational tools.
- Report damaged equipment promptly.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and properly stored after use.
- Support periodic inventory and asset verification exercises.
Reporting:
- Prepare and submit accurate operational reports, including:
- Daily Shift Reports
- Attendance Reports
- Parcel Sorting Reports
- Dispatch Reports
- Warehouse Backlog Reports
- Productivity Reports
- Incident Reports
- Equipment Damage Reports
- Operational Improvement Reports
Customer Service Support:
- Work closely with the Customer Service and Quality Control teams to resolve customer complaints relating to warehouse operations.
- Investigate delayed shipments, misplaced parcels, and operational discrepancies.
- Provide timely feedback on operational issues affecting customer satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes.
- Recommend productivity improvement initiatives.
- Participate in process improvement projects.
- Implement Management directives aimed at improving operational efficiency.
- Encourage teamwork and continuous learning within the operations team.

Remuneration
N200,000 – N250,000 monthly.
