We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Fibre Engineer
Locations: Delta, Lagos and Oyo
Key Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, splice, and test fiber optic cables.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fiber networks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve fiber faults, signal loss, and connectivity issues.
- Conduct Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) and power meter testing.
- Install and configure customer premises equipment (CPE), routers, and other network devices.
- Perform site surveys and prepare technical reports.
- Ensure all installations comply with company and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network infrastructure and completed work.
- Respond promptly to network outages and emergency maintenance requests.
- Collaborate with the NOC and other technical teams to resolve customer issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in fiber optic installation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of fiber splicing, OTDR testing, fusion splicing, and network troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with GPON, FTTH, Ethernet, and IP networking.
- Ability to interpret network diagrams and fiber route maps.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
