Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Junior Drill Rig Technician to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot drilling equipment used in field operations.
• The successful candidate will ensure efficient drilling activities while adhering to project specifications and health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate drill rigs and associated equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on drilling equipment.
• Inspect machinery before and after use to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor drilling parameters such as depth, pressure, and speed, making necessary adjustments.
• Interpret drilling plans, technical drawings, and site specifications.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate drilling logs, reports, and operational records.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues.
• Collaborate with site engineers, geologists, and supervisors during drilling operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of tools, equipment, and work areas.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND, HND, or a Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–4 years of hands-on experience operating and maintaining drill rigs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Good understanding of drilling techniques and drilling equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Physically fit and capable of working in demanding outdoor environments.
• Willingness to work in remote locations and rotational shifts when required.

• Experience working with specific drill rig models and drilling systems.
