Centre for Integrated Health Programs (CIHP) is a leading indigenous non-governmental organization that promotes better healthcare for all Nigerians through the creation of strong and sustainable health systems. We are recruiting for the positions of:
1.) Senior Information Technology Officer
Location: Abuja
Responsibilities
- Incumbent is responsible for conceptualizing, developing and implementing ICT Strategy, systems, plans and policies.
- Ensures that IT strategy not only incorporates developing effective business solutions and services with the underlying infrastructure but that it underpins the organisation in delivering appropriate technology enabled solutions as it expands.
- Conceptualize, develop strategy for and oversee the design and implementation of major systems improvements; manage/oversee multiple, concurrent and often disparate tasks for projects involving innovative applications and different systems including databases
- Provide technical and policy advice to leadership and strategic partners on systems development in a changing environment and the implications of various alternatives, as well as on business applications and other related issues
- Identify and plan for future needs; develop and disseminate best practices, manages the establishment and implementation of software development and customization projects.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability
- First degree in computer sciences, computer Engineering or a related field; an advanced degree will be an added advantage.
- At least 7 years post NYSC work experience, 2 years of which must have been managing an Information Technology operation in a reputable organization.
- Knowledge of system development methods used for the development of new systems and enhancements to existing information systems.
- Knowledge of advanced concepts and basic operating principles of data communications and information systems hardware and software.
- Knowledge of computer monitoring systems, vendor-supplied packaged programs, macros, utilities, and other highly technical programs.
- Ability to gather and analyze facts draws conclusions, define problems, and suggest solutions.
- Ability to use programming procedures and techniques in the implementation of computer programs.
- Ability to manage a team and conduct training and informational sessions
2.) Senior Information Technology Associate
Location: Abuja
Responsibilities
- Incumbent will support the IT team to ensure that IT strategy services delivers appropriate technology enabled solutions
- Support the implementation of major systems improvements; assist with disparate tasks for projects involving innovative applications and different systems including databases
- Provide technical support in a changing environment and the implications of various alternatives, as well as on business applications and other related issues
- Identify and plan for future needs; develop and disseminate best practices
- Provide support for the implementation of software development and customization projects, ensuring process is driven by user needs across the organisation
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability
- Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, computer Engineering or a related field
- At least 3 years post NYSC experience in a reputable organization.
- Knowledge of system development methods used for the development of new systems and enhancements to existing information systems.
- Knowledge of the concepts and basic operating principles of data communications and information systems hardware and software. Knowledge of computer monitoring systems, vendor-supplied packaged programs, macros, utilities, and other highly technical programs.
- Ability to gather and analyze facts draws conclusions, define problems, and suggest solutions.
- Ability to use programming procedures and techniques in the implementation of computer programs
General Requirements
- All positions require candidates that are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, computer applications and Internet/Emails
- Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Significant amount of travel may be involved for all positions.
