Project Manager / Quality Control Manager at Nigerian Institution of Surveyors (Lagos State Branch)

The Nigerian Institution of Surveyors is arguably one of the oldest organised professional bodies in Nigeria. NIS started in 1934 and its foundations were laid in Lagos State as the “Licensed Surveyors Association” under the able leadership of the late Nationalist, Herbert Macaulay. In 1960, the name was changed to the “Land Surveyors Association of Nigeria” with the state Late Surv. C.T. Olumide elected as its first president. Late C.T. Olumide is honoured every year by the Institution with a memorial Lecture.

The Nigerian Institution of Surveyors is the umbrella professional organisation for all surveyors in Nigeria, whether in private practice, Government or Academia. The Institution has its set goals and objectives which include representing generally the view of the Surveying profession in Nigeria; seeking the professional well-being of its members; maintaining the integrity of the profession and enhancing its status; providing and supporting the medium for the training of Surveyors and improvement of Survey techniques; maintaining the highest standard of professional practice and conduct among its members;interacting with and advising Government on legislative matters as they affect the profession and generally its members and also between its members and surveyors of other countries.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Manager / Quality Control Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• The successful candidate will be stationed on-site and responsible for supervising construction activities, monitoring project quality, ensuring compliance with approved specifications and standards, and submitting regular progress and quality control reports to the Branch.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Minimum of Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Civil Engineering or Building Technology.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in building construction and project supervision.

Age Bracket:

• 35 – 50 years old.

Residency:

• Must reside in Lagos or its environs.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in relevant computer applications and project management software.

Professional Certifications (Added Advantages):

• Registration with COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria) or CORBON (Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria).
• Recognized Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP).
