We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Transport Optimization Manager

Location: Nigeria

Purpose

• The Transport Optimization Manager will drive fleet efficiency and maximize truck utilization across the transport network.
• The role is responsible for optimizing vehicle allocation, route planning, and delivery operations to reduce transportation costs, improve service levels, and ensure the use of terrain-suitable vehicles for safe and efficient product delivery.

The Job

• Conduct site inspections, route surveys, and operational assessments to understand customer requirements and terrain conditions.
• Analyze fleet operations and transportation processes to identify inefficiencies and implement improvement initiatives.
• Develop and optimize delivery routes to improve efficiency, safety, service levels, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure the deployment of suitable truck types based on delivery terrain, customer requirements, and operational needs.
• Track and improve truck utilization, fleet productivity, and delivery performance across the transport network.

Qualifications

• B.SC/HND in Logistics, Transportation Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Membership or certification from relevant professional bodies such as CILT, CIOTA, or NIIT is required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in fleet management, transportation operations, or logistics management.
• Technical knowledge of fleet management systems will be an added advantage.

The Person Must:

• Have strong knowledge of fleet operations, transportation planning, and route optimization.
• Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and trends.
• Possess strong leadership and people management capabilities.
