We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Warri, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Accountant shall be responsible for managing the Company's financial records, ensuring compliance with applicable financial regulations, and providing accurate financial information to support management decision-making.

Duties
The Accountant's duties shall include, but shall not be limited to, the following:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including the general ledger, journals, and subsidiary accounts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Process payments, receipts, invoices, and other financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring prompt payment collection and settlement of obligations.
  • Prepare payroll and ensure accurate computation and remittance of statutory deductions, including PAYE, pension contributions, taxes, and other regulatory obligations.
  • Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections, and monitor budget performance.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and reconcile all financial accounts periodically.
  • Maintain proper records of fixed assets and oversee inventory valuation where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Monitor the Company's cash flow and advise management on financial planning and cost-control measures.
  • Develop and implement sound financial controls to safeguard the Company's assets.
  • Prepare financial analyses and reports to support business planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial records and proprietary information of the Company.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of statutory financial returns and regulatory reports.
  • Utilize accounting software and other financial management systems efficiently and accurately.

Salary
N200,000 monthly.
