Job Title: Partner Programme Lead

About the Role
- Our client is an African Proptech managing billing, utilities, payments, and access control across approximately 600 residential communities.
- The Partner Programme Lead builds and governs the organization’s channel strategy, recruiting, certifying, and enabling external sales and account management partners to extend its reach across current operating markets and intone geographies.
Key Responsibilities
Partner Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Identify, qualify, and on-board external sales and account management partners aligned with the organization’s geographic expansion and target segment strategy.
- Define partner profiles by region and vertical, and manage the partner pipeline against clear qualification and contract closure SLAs.
Partner Certification and Training:
- Design and deliver certification covering platform capabilities, the pricing playbook, product use cases, and compliance requirements.
- Track certification completion across the active partner base and run quarterly refreshes as the platform and product evolve.
Commission and Revenue-Share Governance:
- Work with the Financial Controller and Head of Growth to design commission structuresandrevenue-shareterms.
- Own monthly commission reconciliation: validate partner-reported bookings against the CRM and the system of record ,flag discrepancies ,and ensure clean settlement within the agreed SLA.
Partner Account Quality Assurance:
- Conduct quarterly QA reviews of partner-managed accounts covering data accuracy, policy compliance, customer satisfaction sampling, and certification standards.
- Identify under performers, flag high-risk accounts, and escalate to the Customer Experience function or proactive intervention where required.
Partner Performance Monitoring and Coaching:
- Track partner KPIs covering sales velocity ,pipeline coverage ,churn, and NPS of partner-managed accounts.
- Conduct monthly business reviews with partners, identify coaching opportunities, escalate systematic underperformance to the Head of Growth, and support top performers with best-practice playbooks and product release updates.
Escalation Ownership:
- Own the escalation path for all partner-managed accounts, routing technical issues to Engineering or Hardware by severity, commercial disputes to the Head of Growth, and customer health or churn escalations to the Customer Experiencefunction.
- Ensure partners escalate through this role rather than directly to leadership.
Platform Controls and Compliance:
- Enforce the non-negotiable guardrail that partners are limited to sales and first-line relationship management and never access disbursement controls or paymentdata directly.
- Work with Engineering and Finance to ensure partner API access levels and data views are locked by design, and flag any attempted breaches for immediate escalation.
Partner Programme Reporting:
- Build and own a dashboard tracking active partners, year-to-date sales by partner, cohort churn, partner-managed versus direct-managed account health, QA scores, and commission trends.
- Deliver a monthly partner scorecard to the Head of Growth by Day 5 of each month.
Partner Enablement Materials:
- Maintain the partner resource library covering product datasheets, pitch decks, pricing playbooks, deal-structure templates, and customer success best practices.
- Work with Product, Hardware, Marketing, and Customer Experience to keep materials current and informed by partner r feedback.
AI-Assisted Partner Operations:
- Adopt AI-assisted workflows across the partner function, including automated CRM hygiene on partner-submitted leads, AI-assisted partner communications, predictive churn flagging on partner-managed accounts, and automated settlement audits to surface anomalies.
- Treat this as an operational expectation rather than an option AL enhancement.
Key Performance Indicators
- Partner Recruitment: Five to eight partners recruited, certified, and live within six months, with a published regional coverage plan.
- Partner-Channel Revenue Contribution: Fifteen to twenty-five percent of new bookings from partners within twelve months, with partner cohort churn within two percentage points of the direct-managed baseline.
- Commission Accuracy and Settlement: 100% on-time monthly commission runs with zero material discrepancies. All variances above the agreed threshold flagged and resolved within 48 hours.
- QA and Compliance: 100% of active partners reviewed quarterly. Zero instances of partner access outside approved guardrails. Zero partner-initiated disbursement attempts detected.
- Escalation Turnaround: All partner escalations resolved or routed within 48 hours. Partner-managed account NPS within five points of direct-managed by Month 12.
- Operational Delivery: Monthly partner scorecard delivered by Day 5. Certification curriculum live by Month 3. Partner enablement library maintained at full currency.
Requirements
- A Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline.
- A postgraduate qualification or professional certification in sales, channel management, or business development is an advantage.
- 5 - 8 years in partner or channel management, sales enablement, or account management, with a track record of building or scaling a channel from an early stage or managing a significant existing partner base.
- Demonstrated success recruiting and onboarding B2B partners in SaaS, proptech, payments, fintech, or logistics, with experience in African or other emerging markets preferred.
- Experience designing and managing commission and revenue-share structures with Finance, reconciling partner-reported metrics against a system of record, and owning settlement accuracy.
- Track record of enforcing partner compliance and governance rules, including partner API access management, data handling controls, and escalation protocols.
- Strong analytical capability with experience building performance dashboards and tracking KPIs. Fluency with SQL, Python, or business intelligence tools is preferred, or a demonstrated ability to develop these skills with AI assistance.
- Direct experience in African markets, particularly Nigeria and Kenya, with an understanding of local partner landscapes and regulatory context, is a strong advantage.

- Able to brief a tool, evaluate its output, and integrate the workflow into standard practice.

- Writes clear playbooks, dashboards, and partner-facing documentation.
- Presents cohort performance and risk clearly to the Head of Growth and senior leadership.
Preferred:
- Background in utilities, smart metering, IoT, or facilities management technology.
- Experience managing API-integrated partner workflows or SaaS partner channels at scale.
- Exposure to AI-assisted operations including CRM automation, anomaly detection, or predictive analytics.
- Comfort building processes from scratch in a growth-stage environment.
