Job Title: Intern

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a passionate and eager-to-learn Technical Intern to join our laptop repair and service team.
  • This internship is ideal for individuals interested in computer hardware, laptop repairs, customer service, and IT support.
  • The successful candidate will work alongside experienced technicians to diagnose, repair, maintain, and configure laptops while gaining practical, hands-on experience in a professional service centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist technicians in diagnosing hardware and software issues on laptops and desktop computers.
  • Perform laptop disassembly and reassembly under supervision.
  • Replace basic laptop components such as RAM, SSDs, HDDs, keyboards, batteries, screens, fans, and chargers.
  • Install and configure Windows operating systems, drivers, and essential software.
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and preventive servicing of laptops.
  • Run hardware diagnostics and system performance tests.
  • Back up and restore customer data where required.
  • Update service records and repair documentation accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop.
  • Assist with inventory management of spare parts and repair tools.
  • Provide courteous customer support during device check-in and collection.
  • Adhere to company safety procedures and manufacturer service standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of OND, NCE, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Recent graduates or students undergoing Industrial Training (SIWES) are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong willingness to learn laptop troubleshooting and repair.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with laptop brands such as HP, Dell, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, and Apple.
  • Basic understanding of BIOS configuration and hardware diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic networking knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Previous experience repairing laptops or assembling computers is a plus but not required.
