We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Technical Analyst (Chemist)

Location: Anthony Village, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Receive, label, and prepare samples for laboratory analysis.
  • Perform routine and specialized chemical analyses using approved test methods.
  • Conduct laboratory testing on water, wastewater, food, industrial products, and other environmental samples as assigned.
  • Prepare reagents, standard solutions, and calibration standards.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and analytical equipment.
  • Record, interpret, and report analytical results accurately and within specified turnaround times.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, laboratory quality procedures, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in method validation, verification, and quality control activities.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, worksheets, and test reports.
  • Monitor laboratory inventory and communicate reagent and consumable requirements.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and safe handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory chemicals and wastes.
  • Support internal audits, external audits, and accreditation activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a B.Sc. or HND in Industrial Chemistry.
  • Post-degree qualifications are highly preferred
  • Candidates with Degrees in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, or closely related disciplines may also be considered; however, Industrial Chemistry is highly preferred.
  • 1–3 years of laboratory experience in an environmental, industrial, research, or quality control laboratory.
  • Experience in an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory is an added advantage.
