We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Pharmacist Technician

Location: Sagamu Makun, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • As a pharmacy technician, you will be responsible for preparing and administering appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients' prescriptions or by addressing the patients' problems and needs
  • Counsel patients on proper medication use and potential side effects.
  • Maintain the drug inventory and patient and pharmacy records in a manner consistent with all local laws and regulations, as well as CAREONE policies and procedures. Liaise with primary care doctors, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure quality treatment is administered
  • Conduct medication therapy management sessions.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and adjust therapies as needed.
  • Provide drug information and support to other clinical staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects.
  • Stay current with new medications, treatment guidelines, medical technology, and research
  • Assist with the development of clinical protocols.
  • Perform medication reconciliation for new and existing patients
  • Address and resolve medication-related issues.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of medications.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development
  • Adhere strictly to CAREONE's ethical standards, medical protocols, SOPs, and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Other duties as assigned by MD Clinical and Administration, Medical Director or Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

  • Sterilize surfaces and equipment and prepare the pharmacy for opening
  • Greet customers and answer questions
  • Receive prescriptions and check their validity
  • Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate
  • Resolve issues when they arise (e.g., rejected insurance claims)
  • Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions
  • Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory
  • Undertake administrative tasks (e.g., record-keeping) as assigned
  • Comply with all security measures and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma in Pharmacy Technician from a recognized institution.
  • Certification: Must be registered with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) and hold a valid license to practice.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products and terminology.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.

Salary
N50,000 - N80,000 Monthly.
