Job Title: HR and Admin Manager

Location: Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Description

  • We are looking for a H.O.D HR & ADMIN who proven skill sets to lead the department.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manufacturing, particularly within the manufacturing and industrial chemicals sector. He will be responsible for driving people strategy, ensuring compliance, and supportingbusiness growth through effective talent management and HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to meet operational and business objectives.
  • Training & Development: Identify skill gaps and coordinate training programs to enhance staff capabilities, particularly for factory and field sales teams.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Manage employee relations, disciplinary processes, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
  • Drive performance management, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws, statutory regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and employee welfare programme.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify manpower requirements and build high-performing teams.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, prepare management reports, and monitor key HR metrics.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes productivity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency in HR software/MS Office. Exceptional leadership abilities, high emotional intelligence, and a problem-solving mindset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
  • 10–12 years of progressive HR experience within the manufacturing sector.
  • Max. of a Master’s degree (preferably an MBA).
  • Mandatory: Proven HR experience in manufacturing, industrial chemicals or FMCG or sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws, conflict resolutions and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) is an added advantage.

Salary
N400,000 - N500,000 monthly.
