We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Elevator & Escalator Technician

Location: Gbagada, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Install new elevators, escalators, and moving walkways according to manufacturer specifications.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on elevators and escalators.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system faults.
• Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and safety tests.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and customer service calls.
• Replace defective parts and ensure equipment operates efficiently.
• Complete service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Provide technical advice and recommendations to clients regarding equipment performance.
• Work closely with engineers and supervisors on installation and modernization projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of OND/HND/B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Technical certification in elevator and escalator systems will be an added advantage.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in elevator and escalator installation, maintenance, or repair.
• Experience with leading elevator brands such as Orona, Otis, KONE, Schindler, Mitsubishi, Hitachi, Hyundai, TK Elevator (Thyssenkrupp), or Fuji is an advantage.

Required Skills:

• Strong troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills.
• Sound knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Good knowledge of safety procedures and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and respond to emergency call-outs when required.
