Job Title: Junior Accountant

Job Overview
- We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with at least 3 years of experience to join our finance team. In this role, you will take ownership of day-to-day financial operations and assist in driving growth within a fast-paced IT environment.
- The ideal candidate is an ICAN partly qualified professional who can confidently manage AR, AP, and GL processes while spearheading management account preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Management Accounts:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis reports for leadership.
- Lead end-of-month closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Accounts Receivable (AR) & Accounts Payable (AP):
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable, verifying vendor invoices and processing payments.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable, managing client invoicing, collections, and aging schedules.
General Ledger (GL) Management:
- Maintain the General Ledger, posting journal entries and correcting adjustments.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reviews.
Process & Tech Optimization:
- Adopt new accounting software and adapt to automated financial tech tools.
- Maintain strict attention to detail to ensure compliance and eliminate data errors.
Requirements
Education & Professional Certifications:
- Professional qualification: ICAN partly qualified (Skills or Professional level required).
- Academic degree: B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in tech.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advancedMicrosoftExcel.
- Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-growing IT industry.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and high integrity.
