The Bank has an exceptional group of very strong international shareholders committed to the task of improving access to financial services in the country. These shareholders are Access Microfinance Holding AG of Germany, KfW - the German Development Bank, the African Development Bank, and the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank Group. Together, they have an established record of setting up and managing microfinance banks across the African and Asian continents in such countries as Nigeria, Tanzania, Liberia, Zambia, Rwanda, Madagascar, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan,Georgia and Brazil.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Human Capital

Job Summary

  • You will work closely with business leaders to strengthen leadership capability, develop a robust talent pipeline, enhance employee engagement, and position Human Capital function as a strategic business partner driving organizational performance and sustainable growth.

What You Will Lead

  • Develop and implement the Bank's Human Capital Strategy in line with business objectives.
  • Partner with business leaders on workforce planning, organizational development and people initiatives.
  • Strengthening the Human Capital function as a trusted business partner.
  • Lead talent acquisition, succession planning, leadership development and employee engagement.
  • Drive a high-performance culture through effective performance management and coaching.
  • Review and modernize Human Capital policies, governance, compliance and HR processes.
  • Leverage HR technology and workforce analytics to support informed decision-making.
  • Champion an inclusive, engaging and values-driven workplace culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional HR certification (ACIPM, SPHR, CIPD or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • 10+ years of progressive Human Capital experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience within banking or financial services is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour legislation.
  • Experience implementing HR technology and data-driven HR practices.
