Medical Officer at Westcare Specialist Hospital

The idea to create Westcare Hospital group was conceived in 1997. This idea was brought to fruition in May 1998 when the first hospital was founded and named Ilogbo central Hospital. The hospital was named after Ilogbo town near Ajangbadi, Ojo LGA of Lagos in which the hospital was situated.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Medical Officer

Location: Egbeda, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and other treatment plans in accordance with established clinical guidelines.
• Request, interpret, and evaluate laboratory tests and diagnostic investigations.
• Admit, review, and manage in-patients where applicable.
• Attend to medical emergencies and provide life-saving interventions when required.
• Perform minor medical procedures within the scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient records.
• Counsel patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle practices.
• Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and emergency services.
• Collaborate with nurses, specialists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and ethical standards.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 3 - 5 years experience.
