Job Summary
- The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, maintaining pharmacy records, and ensuring efficient day-to-day pharmacy operations while complying with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately.
- Receive and process prescriptions.
- Label and package medications appropriately.
- Monitor inventory levels and report low stock.
- Arrange and store pharmaceutical products correctly.
- Check expiry dates and remove expired products.
- Maintain accurate dispensing and inventory records.
- Support stock counts and reconciliation exercises.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
- Adhere to regulatory and ethical pharmacy standards.
Requirements
- Diploma / Certificate in Pharmacy Technician program.
- Registration with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
- Previous community pharmacy experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical products.
- Good attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
