We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Architect

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, designs, and detailed drawings for residential, commercial, and other building projects.
• Prepare architectural drawings, plans, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Translate client requirements into practical, functional, and aesthetically pleasing designs.
• Produce and review working drawings and construction details.
• Coordinate architectural designs with structural, mechanical, electrical, and other engineering requirements.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to monitor construction progress.
• Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with approved architectural drawings and specifications.
• Work closely with contractors, Quantity Surveyors, engineers, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
• Review construction drawings, materials, samples, and proposed design changes.
• Identify and resolve design and construction-related issues.
• Monitor project progress and ensure architectural deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.
• Ensure projects comply with applicable building codes, planning regulations, and industry standards.
• Prepare presentations, design proposals, and project reports for clients and management.
• Participate in client meetings and provide professional advice on design and construction matters.
• Review and approve architectural shop drawings and other relevant technical submissions.
• Assist with obtaining necessary planning and regulatory approvals.
• Ensure high standards of quality, functionality, safety, and design are maintained throughout the project.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Architecture from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant professional experience.
• Professional registration/membership with a recognized architectural body will be an advantage.
• Proven experience handling architectural projects from concept through construction.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, construction methods, and building regulations.
• Proficiency in relevant design and architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Excellent design, visualization, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project coordination and site supervision skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Must be based in Ibadan or willing to work in Ibadan.
