We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender documentation.
• Conduct cost planning and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review architectural, structural, and engineering drawings to determine project quantities and costs.
• Prepare and evaluate tender documents and analyze contractors’ bids.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor project expenditure and provide regular cost reports to management.
• Conduct site measurements and valuations of completed works.
• Manage interim valuations, payment certificates, variations, and final accounts.
• Review and negotiate contracts with contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Identify potential cost risks and recommend appropriate cost-saving measures.
• Monitor variations and ensure they are properly documented and approved.
• Assist with procurement and contract administration.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, project managers, and other professionals to ensure effective project delivery.
• Ensure construction costs remain within approved budgets.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs, contracts, measurements, and financial documentation.
• Provide professional advice on cost implications of design and construction decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant professional experience.
• Professional membership/certification with a recognized Quantity Surveying body will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, contracts, and cost management.
• Proven experience in preparing BOQs, cost estimates, valuations, and final accounts.
• Strong knowledge of construction procurement and contract administration.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in relevant Quantity Surveying and project management software.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Must be based in Ibadan or willing to work in Ibadan.
