Job Title: Restaurant Cashier

Location: Berger, Lagos

Job Description

• The restaurant cashier is responsible for processing customer payments accurately, issuing receipts, maintaining cash accountability, and providing excellent customer service.
• The cashier ensures all sales transactions are recorded correctly while supporting the smooth operation of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers professionally and courteously.
• Process cash, POS, bank transfer, and card payments accurately.
• Issue receipts and maintain proper transaction records.
• Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Prepare daily sales reports and reconcile cash shortages or overages.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and payment-related issues professionally.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure orders are billed correctly.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Ensure the cashier station is clean, organized, and secure.
• Monitor POS system functionality and report technical issues promptly.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Promote restaurant products, daily specials, and loyalty programs where applicable.
• Comply with company policies, health, safety, and security procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE/WAEC, OND, or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience as a cashier in a restaurant, supermarket, or retail outlet is an advantage.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Remuneration
N65,000 - N75,000 monthly.
