We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Channel Engineer

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain POS and mobile applications using Java, Kotlin, and the Flutter framework. 
• Work with payment gateways to integrate secure and reliable transaction processing. 
• Ensure all applications adhere to ISO card standards and other relevant payment industry regulations. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers, to define, design, and ship new features. 
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code. 
• 6.Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure the quality and reliability of the applications. 
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in production and development environments. 
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in POS, mobile, and payment systems. 
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code and share knowledge with the team. 
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in POS or mobile application development. 
• Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and Dart (for Flutter). 
• In-depth knowledge of Flutter and Android development frameworks. 
• Proven experience with integrating payment gateways. 
• Deep understanding of ISO card standards (e.g., ISO 8583) and other payment protocols. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex technical issues. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Experience working in an Agile development environment. 

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with state management libraries like Bloc or Provider. 
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS. 
• Experience with other financial APIs.
