Job Title: Chemistry Teacher 

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Summary

• The Chemistry Teacher plans and delivers engaging chemistry lessons, prepares students for examinations, conducts laboratory experiments safely, and assesses students' academic progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver chemistry lessons in line with the school curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments.
• Conduct practical laboratory sessions and ensure laboratory safety.
• Evaluate students through assignments, tests, and examinations.
• Maintain accurate records of students' attendance and performance.
• Provide academic guidance and support to students.
• Encourage students' interest in science through interactive teaching methods.
• Manage classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school activities.
• Keep up to date with developments in chemistry education and teaching methods.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemistry Education, or a related field.
• Teaching qualification or certification (where required).
• Strong knowledge of chemistry concepts and laboratory procedures.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to use modern teaching technologies and instructional methods.
• Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
