Description

• We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Van Sales Representative (VSR) to join our Sales team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for selling and distributing the company’s products directly to retailers within an assigned territory using a designated sales van.

Key Responsibilities

• Sell and distribute company products directly to retailers using the assigned sales van.
• Achieve established daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Identify and onboard new retail outlets to expand product availability and distribution within the assigned territory.
• Collect customer payments through cash or bank transfer and remit all funds accurately in line with company policy.
• Maintain accurate daily records of sales, stock movement, payments, and customer transactions.
• Manage van stock effectively to prevent shortages, damages, losses, or product expiries.
• Conduct regular market intelligence by monitoring competitors’ products, pricing, promotional activities, and market trends.
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Ensure the assigned sales van is kept clean, roadworthy, properly maintained, and compliant with company standards.
• Submit timely sales and market reports as required by management.

Requirements

• Minimum of an OND or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in van sales, field sales, retail distribution, or FMCG sales is preferred.
• Valid driver’s licence and proven driving experience.
• Strong sales, negotiation, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to meet targets and work independently within an assigned territory.
• Good numerical skills and the ability to maintain accurate sales and stock records.
• High level of honesty, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of the assigned territory and surrounding markets will be an advantage.
