Job Title: Accountant / Internal Control Officer

About the Role

• Med-Vical International is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Accountant/Internal Control Officer to support financial reporting while strengthening the organization’s internal control environment.
• The successful candidate will help ensure financial accuracy, safeguard organizational assets, and promote compliance with policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare periodic financial reports.
• Perform bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations.
• Process invoices, payments, and journal entries.
• Monitor revenue collection and expenditure.
• Conduct routine internal control reviews and compliance audits.
• Identify control weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
• Verify inventory, fixed assets, and cash management processes.
• Ensure adherence to financial policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist during internal and external audits.
• Investigate financial discrepancies and prepare management reports.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification (completed or in progress) is an advantage.
• 3–5 years’ relevant accounting and/or internal control experience.
• Healthcare experience is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal control frameworks.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Accountability and integrity are a must.
