Job Title: Nursery School Teacher

Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Overview

• The Teacher is responsible for assisting the head class teacher in teaching designated class pupils and ensuring that they achieve the highest possible standards of academic work and personal conduct in line with the school vision, mission, values and curriculum.

Core Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable about related subjects and curriculum content
• Prepare writing materials, demonstration materials, craft materials, board displays experiment materials, Montessori materials (where applicable) and other learning materials
• Make copies of learning materials
• Ensure class room is neat and tidy
• Prepare interactive white board and laptops for learning
• Receive pupils and ensure submission of homework
• Record and check daily class attendance. Report absences to class teacher
• Support teacher to provide individualized and group teaching to pupils
• Teach class in the absence of class teacher
• Monitor class activities, check and correct classwork assigned by the class teacher during lessons
• Communicate pupils’ progress to the class teacher
• Check and ensure pupils are following laid down class routines and procedures
• Monitor pupils’ safety within and outside the classroom
• Ensure safety of pupils’ belongings
• Reconcile minor conflicts amongst pupils and report disciplinary issues to class teacher
• Ensure all learning materials are packed up at the end of each lesson and each day
• Mark classwork and homework
• Take responsibility for the efficient and safe use of learning resources and equipment
• Take responsibility for own professional development.

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree / NCE with 3 - 8 years experience.

Salary
N100,000 - N170,000 monthly.
