Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Location: Festac Branch, Lagos

Job Description

• We are seeking a competent, detail-oriented, and reliable Medical Laboratory Technician to join our laboratory team at the Festac Branch.
• The ideal candidate will support accurate diagnostics, maintain high-quality standards, and contribute to efficient laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory tests in Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, and related areas under supervision.
• Collect, receive, process, and analyze patient samples accurately and efficiently.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality control, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
• Record, validate, and report test results promptly.
• Maintain proper documentation, inventory of reagents, and laboratory cleanliness.
• Assist in sample management, biohazard waste disposal, and infection control.
• Support senior laboratory staff and contribute to smooth workflow and turnaround time.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Technology / Medical Laboratory Science from a recognized institution.
• Valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
• NYSC certificate (completed) is an added advantage.
• Previous experience in a diagnostic laboratory is preferred.

• Strong technical knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and equipment.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical ability.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in laboratory information systems and basic computer skills.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and continuous learning.
