Job Title: Biomedical Engineer

Job Summary
- We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Biomedical Engineer to join our team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, calibration, and management of medical equipment to ensure optimal performance, patient safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair biomedical equipment.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on medical devices.
- Perform equipment calibration, testing, and safety checks.
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
- Liaise with equipment vendors for servicing, upgrades, and warranty claims.
- Train healthcare staff on the proper use and handling of medical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hospital policies.
- Participate in equipment procurement, evaluation, and commissioning.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies.
- Recommend replacement or upgrade of obsolete equipment when necessary.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng./B.Tech.) or HND in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years relevant experience in biomedical equipment maintenance within a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Professional certification or relevant technical training is an added advantage.
Required Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of biomedical and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of electrical and electronic systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
