Job Title: Experienced Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

• The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical systems, industrial machinery, and production equipment.
• The ideal candidate must possess strong technical expertise in industrial electrical systems and be capable of minimizing machine downtime through effective preventive and corrective maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and industrial production equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults on injection moulding, blow moulding, and auxiliary machines.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical installations and equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, sensors, motors, drives, control panels, and automation equipment.
• Ensure minimal production downtime by responding promptly to electrical breakdowns.
• Maintain electrical panels, switchgears, transformers, generators, compressors, and distribution systems.
• Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with all electrical safety standards and company policies.
• Prepare maintenance reports, breakdown analysis, and spare parts requirements.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
• Supervise electrical technicians where necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, automation, PLCs, motor control circuits, VFDs, and control panels.
• Hands-on experience with injection moulding, blow moulding, or similar manufacturing equipment will be an added advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to production emergencies.
• Good understanding of occupational health and electrical safety standards.
