Job Title: Laundry Attendant

Job Summary

• The Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, ironing, folding, and properly storing hotel linen, towels, uniforms, and guests' laundry.
• The role ensures all laundry items meet the hotel's cleanliness and presentation standards while operating laundry equipment safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort laundry according to fabric type, color, and washing requirements.
• Wash, dry, iron, press, fold, and package hotel linen, towels, uniforms, and guest clothing.
• Inspect all laundry items for stains, damage, or wear and report items requiring replacement.
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Use detergents, chemicals, and cleaning agents safely and in the correct quantities.
• Ensure guest laundry is processed accurately, handled with care, and returned within the agreed turnaround time.
• Keep the laundry room clean, organized, and hygienic at all times.
• Monitor linen inventory and report shortages or damaged items.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Minimize wastage of water, electricity, detergents, and other laundry supplies.
• Report equipment faults promptly to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Assist with periodic stock-taking of linen and laundry supplies.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE / WAEC or its equivalent.
• Previous experience in hotel laundry services is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of fabric care and stain removal techniques.

• Minimal wastage of laundry supplies.

Salary 
 N100,000 - N150,000 per month.
