Job Summary

• Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to maintain and repair production equipment, minimize downtime, and ensure efficient plant operations.
• The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on maintenance experience, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and production machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve routine mechanical faults to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain critical spare parts and assemblies for quick equipment restoration.
• Coordinate with the section supervisor and provide timely updates on maintenance activities and equipment issues.
• Participate in daily maintenance meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct root cause ("Why-Why") analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure maximum equipment availability through effective maintenance practices.
• Promote and comply with Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental (QHSE), and Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements.
• Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System.
• Participate in internal audits, inspections, and employee awareness programs related to IMS.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Contribute to initiatives that improve plant safety, environmental performance, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• SSCE with Trade Test, OND, HND, or B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with rotating equipment, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, and other production machinery.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and maintenance manuals.
• Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts where required.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 per month.
