We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Wheel Loader Operator

Location: Gusau, Zamfara
Employment Type: Contract

Job Description

• Operate wheel loaders and related heavy equipment safely and efficiently to load, move, and unload bulk materials into trucks, hoppers, or stockpiles.
• Perform tasks such as excavating, grading, backfilling, leveling, and site clearing as directed by site supervisors.
• Position vehicles and equipment accurately to maximize loading efficiency and minimize operational downtime.

Inspection & Maintenance:

• Perform daily pre-operation and post-operation equipment inspections (checking fluid levels, tire pressure, hydraulics, brakes, lights, and grease points).
• Identify, report, and document mechanical issues, unusual noises, or safety hazards to the maintenance team immediately.
• Clean and maintain machinery to ensure optimal working condition and prevent premature wear and tear.

Safety & Compliance:

• Strictly adhere to site safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and company safety regulations at all times.
• Maintain clear situational awareness of site hazards, ground stability, overhead obstacles, and nearby workers or equipment.
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while on the job site.

Site Communication & Teamwork:

• Communicate effectively with truck drivers, site managers, ground crews, and spotters using hand signals, radios, or horn signals.
• Collaborate with site personnel to ensure smooth workflow, efficient material movement, and adherence to project timelines.

Qualification

•  Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 5-7 years experience.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
