Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Remote

Position Overview

• We are seeking a highly responsible and self-motivated QA Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can deliver exceptional results with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional ownership of their work, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to balance quality assurance with efficient delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Testing:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing strategies
• Perform manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and API platforms
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the development lifecycle

Task Ownership & Project Management:

• Take complete ownership of assigned testing tasks from initiation to completion
• Manage multiple testing projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards
• Proactively identify potential issues and risks before they impact delivery
• Move testing cards through the workflow efficiently while maintaining thoroughness
• Prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines without compromising quality

Communication & Collaboration:

• Provide clear, detailed, and timely status updates to stakeholders
• Actively follow up on blockers, dependencies, and outstanding issues
• Communicate test results, findings, and recommendations in a clear and actionable manner
• Facilitate effective communication between development, product, and business teams
• Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings

Process Improvement:

• Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and methodologies
• Implement best practices for test automation and efficiency
• Contribute to the development of testing standards and guidelines
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge across the organization

• Consistent delivery of high-quality testing results within agreed timelines

Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (Selenium, Cypress, Jest, etc.)
• Proficiency in API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration testing
• Experience with bug tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Basic understanding of programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Java, etc.)
