African Natural Resources and Mines Limited (ANRML), established by African Industries Group, operates a fully integrated iron ore mining and processing plant in Gujeni village, Kagarko LGA, Kaduna state—the first of its kind in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Land Surveyor

Location: Gujeni, Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Land Surveyor is responsible for conducting land and engineering surveys to establish property boundaries, determine precise locations, and provide accurate measurements that support construction, infrastructure, and development projects.
  • The role ensures all survey activities comply with project specifications, legal requirements, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct topographic, boundary, route, and construction surveys.
  • Perform site measurements using surveying instruments such as Total Stations, GPS/GNSS, Levels, and Drones (where applicable).
  • Establish horizontal and vertical control points for construction projects.
  • Set out building lines, road alignments, utilities, and structural layouts according to approved drawings.
  • Verify survey data and ensure measurement accuracy before construction activities commence.
  • Prepare and maintain field notes, survey records, sketches, and reports.
  • Process survey data using AUTOCAD and surveying software to produce maps, plans, and digital models.
  • Identify discrepancies between site conditions and engineering drawings and report findings promptly.
  • Conduct as-built surveys to verify completed works against design specifications.
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure accurate project execution.
  • Monitor construction progress and provide survey support throughout project phases.
  • Ensure compliance with local land regulations, survey standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and safeguard surveying equipment.
  • Assist in resolving boundary disputes and land-related technical issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Surveying, Geomatics, Geoinformatics, Survey Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification or registration with the relevant surveying body is an advantage.
  • 3–7 years of relevant land surveying experience (depending on seniority).
  • Experience in construction, infrastructure, roads, buildings, oil & gas, or civil engineering projects is preferred.
