Job Title: Refinery Lead

Location: Koko, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Refinery Lead will oversee refinery operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant processing of petroleum products.
  • The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to integrate refinery activities with the company’s broader services in waste management, pollution control, and petroleum product supply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Refinery Operations: Direct daily refinery processes including crude oil distillation, product blending, and quality assurance.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to Nigerian regulatory standards, environmental laws, and international best practices.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise engineers, technicians, and operators; provide training and mentorship.
  • Environmental Management: Collaborate with the environmental consultancy unit to minimize emissions, manage waste, and implement pollution control measures.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Work with the petroleum marketing and haulage divisions to guarantee timely product distribution.
  • Marine & Logistics Integration: Align refinery output with marine transport services for domestic and international supply.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs such as throughput, yield, downtime, and cost efficiency.
  • Innovation & Sustainability: Drive adoption of cleaner technologies and sustainable refinery practices.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in refinery operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian oil & gas regulations and international refinery standards
  • Proven track record in environmental compliance and waste management integration
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Salary
N1,000,000 – N1,400,000 per month. (Net Salary) - However, the salary can be negotiated upward depending on the candidate’s experience).
