Job Title: Chief Operating Officer

Job Summary

  • The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and profitability across its multi-sector activities.
  • The COO will drive operational excellence, strategic execution, and sustainable growth in line with the company’s vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Direct and manage daily operations across petroleum products marketing, waste management, pollution control, haulage, and marine services.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement business strategies that align with industry trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to Nigerian and international environmental, health, and safety standards, particularly in waste management and petroleum operations.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor budgets, optimize resource allocation, and drive cost efficiency across all business units.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities for expansion in petroleum supply, environmental consultancy, and marine logistics.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, clients, partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop senior managers to foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and performance.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in Oil & Gas, waste management, or environmental consultancy, with at least 7 years in senior leadership.
  • Strong understanding of petroleum marketing, pollution control technologies, marine logistics, and Nigerian regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams, manage complex operations, and deliver results in challenging environments.

  • Risk Management: Skilled in identifying and mitigating operational, financial, and environmental risks.
  • Innovation: Drive adoption of sustainable practices and modern technologies in waste management and petroleum operations.

Salary

  • N2,000,000 – N2,500,000 per month (Net Salary)
  • However, the salary can be negotiated upward depending on the candidate’s experience)
