Job Title: Technical Assistant to the CEO

Location: Warri, Delta

Job Summary

  • The Technical Assistant to the CEO serve as a strategic support partner, providing technical, analytical, and operational assistance to the Chief Executive Officer.
  • The Technical Assistant ensures the CEO’s directives are executed efficiently while offering insights that drive innovation, compliance, and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Support: Assist the CEO in decision-making by preparing reports, presentations, and technical briefs across petroleum, waste management, and environmental consultancy sectors.
  • Project Oversight: Monitor and evaluate company projects in petroleum products marketing, pollution control, haulage, and marine services to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
  • Technical Research: Conduct industry research on emerging technologies, environmental regulations, and sustainability practices relevant to oil & gas and waste management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Support the CEO in liaising with government agencies, regulators, clients, and partners to maintain compliance and foster business relationships.
  • Operational Efficiency: Identify process improvements in petroleum supply chains, waste management systems, and marine logistics.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Draft technical documents, policy briefs, and environmental impact assessments for executive and regulatory use.
  • Confidential Advisory: Provide confidential advice and recommendations to the CEO on technical, operational, and strategic matters.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Petroleum Studies, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5 - 7 years’ experience in oil & gas, waste management, or environmental consultancy.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian regulatory frameworks (DPR, NESREA, NIMASA etc).
  • Excellent skills in data analysis, project management, and technical writing
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality

Skills & Competencies:

  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insight.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for reports, presentations, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proactive in anticipating CEO needs and ensuring smooth execution of directives.
  • Deep understanding of petroleum marketing, waste management, and marine logistics.
  • Innovative approach to addressing operational and environmental challenges.

Salary
N500,000 – N600,000 per month. (Net Salary) - However, the salary can be negotiated upward depending on the candidate’s experience).
