Job Title: Maintenance Coordinator

Location: Koko, Delta

Job Summary

  • The Maintenance Coordinator oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of all maintenance activities across the company’s diverse operations.
  • This role ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure critical to petroleum, waste management, marine, and haulage services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance Strategy: Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for petroleum facilities, waste management plants, haulage fleets, and marine vessels.
  • Equipment Reliability: Ensure maximum up-time of critical assets such as pumps, compressors, marine engines, trucks, and pollution control systems.
  • Safety & Compliance: Guarantee compliance with Nigerian regulatory standards (DPR, NOSDRA, NIMASA) and international best practices in environmental and petroleum operations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor maintenance engineers, technicians, and marine mechanics to build a high-performing team.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Manage maintenance budgets, optimize spare parts inventory, and negotiate with vendors for cost-effective solutions.
  • Emergency Response: Coordinate rapid response to breakdowns, oil spills, or pollution control emergencies to minimize downtime and environmental impact.
  • Innovation & Sustainability: Introduce modern technologies (IoT sensors, CMMS software) to improve efficiency and align with the company’s environmental consultancy goals.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine or Petroleum Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • 8 - 12 years’ experience in maintenance management within Oil & Gas, waste management, or marine services.
  • Strong knowledge of petroleum product handling, pollution control systems, and haulage fleet maintenance.
  • Proven track record in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing large scale maintenance operations

Competencies:

  • Technical Expertise in petroleum equipment, marine engines, and industrial waste systems
  • Project Management skills for coordinating multi-site operations
  • Regulatory knowledge of Nigerian Oil & Gas and environmental laws
  • Analytical thinking for root cause analysis and continuous improvement
  • Communication skills to liaise with stakeholders, regulators, and cross-functional teams

Salary
N500,000 – N600,000 per month. (Net Salary) - However, the salary can be negotiated upward depending on the candidate’s experience).
