Job Title: Procurement Officer

Job Summary
- The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required for the company’s operations across petroleum products marketing, waste management, environmental consultancy, pollution control, haulage, and marine services.
- The role ensures cost-effective procurement while maintaining compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and contractors.
- Procurement Planning: Develop procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and operational needs.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to ensure value for money.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to local and international procurement regulations, including Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) guidelines.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment of petroleum products, marine equipment, and waste management supplies.
- Risk Management: Assess supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Documentation: Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and procurement reports for management review.
- Cross – Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, finance, and logistics teams to align procurement with project goals.
- Sustainability Focus: Support environmentally responsible sourcing practices, especially for waste management and pollution control projects.

Key Requirements
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement within oil & gas, waste management or marine services.
- Professional certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or equivalent are an advantage.
- Strong understanding of petroleum products, marine equipment, and environmental consultancy materials.
- Ability to analyze market trends, supplier performance, and cost structures.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
Salary
N300,000 – N400,000 / month (Net Salary) (However, the salary can be negotiated upward depending on the candidate’s experience)
