Job Title: Lead Poultry Flock Veterinarian

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Part-time

Role Summary

  • They are seeking a highly experienced Lead Poultry Flock Veterinarian to provide strategic and operational leadership across our farms.
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across farms to drive significant improvements in flock health, productivity, biosecurity, and overall farm performance through data-driven decision-making and strong leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead veterinary oversight, disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment across all farms.
  • Review, redesign, and enforce health management, vaccination, and biosecurity programs.
  • Conduct regular farm visits, health audits, necropsies, and diagnostic testing.
  • Use performance data to improve growth rates, Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR), mortality, and production yields.
  • Collaborate closely with farm managers and operations teams to address underperformance.
  • Lead outbreak management and ensure compliance with veterinary, food safety, and Halal standards.
  • Train and mentor veterinary and farm staff.
  • Prepare health and performance reports for senior management.

Requirements
Education & Certifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
  • Master of Veterinary Public Health (MVPH) or M.Sc. in Veterinary Medicine is a plus.
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association - NVMA) is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial poultry operations (broiler and breeder).
  • Proven leadership track record with measurable improvements in flock performance.

Key Skills & Work Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to work across multiple farm locations
