This role is central to shaping how IfeanHealth communicates its impact, expertise, and leadership across multiple platforms, from articles and reports to thought leadership pieces and multimedia storytelling.

Job Title: Writer

Role Overview

• The Writer will be responsible for producing high‑quality written content that aligns with IfeanHealth’s narrative architecture, brand positioning, and strategic communications objectives.
• This includes developing articles, reports, op‑eds, patient stories, research‑backed insights, and thought leadership content.
• The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller, a rigorous researcher, and a strategic communicator with the ability to translate complex health data into compelling, accessible narratives.

Key Responsibilities
Content Development & Thought Leadership:

• Produce high‑quality articles, reports, op‑eds, blog posts, and storytelling pieces aligned with IfeanHealth’s narrative frames.
• Develop thought leadership content that positions IfeanHealth as a national voice in preventive health, rehabilitation, disability inclusion, and social impact.
• Write long‑form content for the website, newsletters, media publications, and other communications channels.
• Craft compelling patient stories, community impact narratives, and expert‑driven insights.

Research & Insight Generation:

• Conduct deep research on preventive health, prosthetics, wellness, mental health, disability inclusion, and public health trends.
• Translate research findings into accessible, engaging content for diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to ensure accuracy and depth.

SEO‑Optimised Writing:

• Apply basic SEO principles to improve discoverability of articles and digital content.
• Conduct keyword research and integrate SEO best practices into content structure, headlines, and metadata.
• Support the optimisation of website content to increase organic traffic and search visibility.

Cross‑Platform Content Adaptation:

• Adapt long‑form content into short‑form versions for social media, newsletters, and multimedia formats.
• Collaborate with designers and videographers to produce integrated content (graphics, videos, infographics).
• Ensure consistency of tone, messaging, and brand voice across all platforms.

Editorial Quality & Brand Alignment:

• Maintain high editorial standards, which includes clarity, accuracy, empathy, and narrative strength.
• Ensure all content aligns with IfeanHealth’s brand identity, messaging framework, and communications strategy.
• Review and refine drafts to ensure quality, coherence, and impact.
• Decision‑Making Authority & Collaboration.

Direct Responsibilities:

• Full ownership of content development, research, and editorial writing.
• Authority to propose content ideas, themes, and storytelling angles aligned with strategic priorities.
• Ability to recommend improvements to content workflows and editorial processes.

Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Health, Social Sciences, or related field.
• 3–6 years of professional writing experience (health, development, social impact, or corporate communications preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to produce high‑quality articles, reports, and thought leadership content.
• Experience conducting research and translating insights into compelling narratives.
• Basic SEO knowledge and familiarity with digital content optimisation.
