Job Title: Quality Control Officer 

Location: Futo Axis, Imo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Quality Control Officer to ensure our products consistently meet regulatory and company quality standards.
• The Quality Control Officer will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining product quality throughout the production process.
• The successful candidate will conduct laboratory tests, inspect production processes, ensure compliance with NAFDAC and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements, and support continuous quality improvement within the factory.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine physical, chemical and microbiological tests on raw water and finished products.
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
• Inspect raw materials, packaging materials and finished products.
• Maintain accurate laboratory and quality control records.
• Ensure compliance with NAFDAC, SON, GMP and company quality standards.
• Monitor factory hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Identify quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Investigate customer complaints relating to product quality.
• Ensure testing equipment and laboratory instruments are properly maintained and calibrated.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly quality reports.
• Work closely with the Production Manager to improve product quality and reduce waste.
• Participate in internal audits and regulatory inspections.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or HND in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Food Science & Technology, Industrial Chemistry or a related discipline.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in quality control within a water, food, beverage or FMCG manufacturing company.
• Exceptional fresh graduates with relevant industrial training may also be considered.
• Good understanding of laboratory procedures and quality assurance principles.
• Knowledge of NAFDAC regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
