Job Title: Executive Assistant to the ED
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Summary
- The Executive Assistant to the Executive Director, Development Finance Institution, reports directly to the Executive Director, Development Finance Institution.
- The successful candidate will provide high-level executive, administrative, and strategic support to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Executive Director's office.
- The role serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to the Executive Director's office and is responsible for managing executive schedules, confidential correspondence, meetings, travel arrangements, stakeholder engagements, and special projects.
- Inherent in this role is maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, confidentiality, and responsiveness while ensuring seamless coordination between the Executive Director's office and internal departments.
- The Executive Assistant will also leverage digital technologies and AI-enabled tools to enhance executive productivity, manage the Executive Director's professional social media presence, and support strategic initiatives that contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Development Finance Institution Services Directorate.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Management Sciences, or a related discipline.
- A postgraduate Degree or relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- Membership of a recognized professional body such as the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), or other relevant professional associations is an advantage.
- 3–5 years of progressive experience supporting C-suite executives, executive directors, or senior management in a corporate environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing executive calendars, travel coordination, confidential correspondence, board meetings, and stakeholder engagements.
- Strong knowledge of executive office administration, records management, and business correspondence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced collaboration platforms including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of AI tools and prompt engineering for executive productivity, document drafting, research, summarization, and workflow optimization.
- Experience managing professional social media platforms for senior executives is an added advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong planning, coordination, multitasking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and consistently meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, discretion, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality.
