We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for the gas pipeline project.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis to support project planning.
  • Assist in the procurement process by preparing tender documents, analyzing bids, and selecting suppliers/subcontractors.
  • Manage contractual relationships, including drafting and evaluating contracts, variations, and claims.
  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure cost control measures are in place.
  • Track and report on project financial progress, including cash flow forecasts.
  • Conduct valuation of work performed and process payments to contractors/subcontractors.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
  • Manage change orders and variations, assessing their impact on project costs and schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, contractual correspondence, and project documentation.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to project costs and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or related fields
  • 8 -12 years experience in preferably in gas pipeline or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and financial management.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in estimating software, MS Office Suite, and project management tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to pipeline construction.
