Overview

  • ‎We are recruiting a detail-oriented and experienced Finance & Accounts Officer to support the financial operations of a leading laboratory services organization.
  • ‎The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting budgeting and financial planning.
  • This role requires a finance professional with strong accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with QuickBooks, and the ability to provide accurate financial insights that support business decision-making.
  • ‎Ultimately, you will contribute to the organization's financial stability by ensuring sound financial management, regulatory compliance, and efficient accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • ‎Maintain accurate financial records by processing daily transactions, journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • ‎Process invoices, expense claims, receipts, and client billings while ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • ‎Monitor office expenses, company loans, investments, and financial commitments.
  • ‎Perform regular reconciliation of bank accounts, ledgers, and financial records to ensure data accuracy.
  • ‎Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and Monthly Performance Reports (MPR).
  • ‎Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and financial statement preparation.
  • ‎Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business planning and commercial bids.
  • ‎Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including PAYE, VAT, WHT, CIT, and other regulatory requirements.
  • ‎Coordinate audit activities and maintain organized financial documentation for internal and external audits.
  • ‎Support payroll administration, statutory remittances, and regulatory reporting.
  • ‎Build and maintain effective relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
  • ‎Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial policies, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • ‎Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • ‎Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • ‎5–7 years' experience in finance and accounting roles.
  • ‎Experience within a laboratory, healthcare, professional services, or related industry is an added advantage.
  • ‎Proficiency in QuickBooks is mandatory.
  • ‎Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • ‎Solid understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, payroll administration, and statutory remittances.
  • ‎Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
  • ‎Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • ‎High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • ‎Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage but not mandatory.

Salary
N500,000 - N600,000 per month.
