Job Title: Associates - Private Equity
Location: Lagos
Specific Skills, Knowledge and Responsibilities
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Economics, Finance or any of the Numerate disciplines with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division
- An MBA with a reputable University as well as any of the industry professional qualiflcation such as ACA,CFA etc. Related industries will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within Private Equity, Alternative Investment, Pension Fund Administration and investment management environment.
- Must have demonstrable experience in leading teams through an entire chain of deal closing program in the last 2 years
- Strong financial statement analysis and financial modelling capabilities
- Ability to analyze and conduct due diligence on private equity deals, real estate, real assets and emerging markets focused fund & coinvestment opportunities, including building/modifying discounted cash flow & LBO valuation models
- Ability to prepare and present investment recommendations to internal committees and clients.
- Ability to support fund raising efforts for private equity, realestate funds etc.
- Client relationship management support including ongoing portfolio management and reporting activities and capacity to discretely handle highly confidential and sensitive information:
- Work with legal counsel to review deal terms, negotiate and execute investment transactions.
- Develop and manage Investment deal flows in the sector of focus of the Private Equity fund.
- Supervise junior analysts/interns including training on investment analysis and internal processes.
