Job Title: (Associate) Financial Officer, Cash Management

Locations:

Job Summary
The Cash Management team in IFC’s Treasury Market Operations Department is responsible for managing the cash flows of IFC, which involves forecasting and funding all cash needs of the corporation on a daily basis. The team also handles the following critical financial functions of IFC:
  • Global banking relationships
  • The short-term borrowing (Discount Note) program, the proceeds of which are utilized for IFC’s general cash management operations as well as to fund short-term local currency loans to clients
  • Short-term investments in liquid assets portfolios, which have over USD 40 billion in assets under management.
The (Associate) Financial Officer, Cash Management will be responsible for the following:
  • Assist with daily cash operations and support senior financial officers in managing liquid assets investments
  • Help with activities related to daily cash planning including forecasting and funding daily cash flows
  • Assist with activities related to global discount note program
  • Assist with investments in liquid assets portfolios, including trade execution under direction of senior officers
  • Market surveillance and analysis
  • Assist in managing global banking relationships.
Selection Criteria
  • Master's degree in Business or Finance; CFA designation or progress towards it highly valued
  • Minimum of five years of experience in fixed income related activities (e.g. trading or research)
  • Knowledge of and experience with markets and financial instruments (cash and derivatives)
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast trading environment
  • Understanding of macro economics
  • Open to initiatives and risks; comfortable to operate in an open, team-based environment
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
